At Hellfire Bay Sauce in Australia we have created a great line of hot sauces to cater to a larger range of customers. We have something for everyone from the everyday person to people who love the hotter heat and flavour of Habanero chilli. We bring the “heat” to Western Australia! We grow multiple plants including cayenne, habanero, jalapeno, and Thai birds’ eye plants. All our plants are treated with care and natural garden solutions to help them grow strong. Any of our sauces can be used as a base sauce to any dish to enhance character and flavour. They have no artificial colours or flavourings, and are gluten and preservative free. All Hellfire Bay Hot Sauces are handcrafted with the finest ingredients, many grown in our own backyard and they blend together in harmony to make this sauce dance with flavour before it brings the heat!  

ABOUT HELLFIRE BAY SAUCE

Hellfire Bay is a beautiful pristine bay on the southeast coast of Western Australia. Our hot sauce was founded and developed by Ernest Austin. His passion and flare to create and experience fine food started during his teenage years growing up in Esperance. Working in the food industry around Western Australia has helped him appreciate the flavour and aromas of the many varieties of chilies and peppers available, and the impact they can have in our food. There used to be a limited range of hot sauces available in rural Western Australia and the flavour was very blasé. When Ernest Austin met his partner, she had introduced him to a bottle of buffalo wing sauce from Canada that was invigorating and re-kindled Ernest’s passion for cooking again. Now a local hot sauce that is high quality and robust is here!He started growing a cayenne chilli plant to get the spices he needed for cooking. From the first crop he produced more than he needed, by two months it had produced too much for him, and then the idea of making his own hot sauce to sell to others started. After a few trials, Gold and Red Sauce was developed having perfected the flavour and keeping the heat to mild to medium heat. Gold and Red Sauce work well as a base sauce and for everyday cooking. Since returning to Esperance, Ernest Austin has been giving people bottles to taste test and arrange all the business requirements necessary. He started selling bottles of his sauces after positive feedback and has started to sell at local monthly markets.
